As with JEDI 1 the workshop was research based in small, free groups but with significantly more emphasis on creativity and novel idea incubation and generation using the future of cosmology in 2020, both observational and theoretical, as a vehicle for acheiving these goals.

There were a number of sub-themes that were explored during the workshop including:

* The Key Questions for cosmology in 2020: developing new ideas for theory and experiment.

* The future of data mining and artificial intelligence in cosmology, followed by a short team-based matlab programming contest which put the teams in head-to-head competition.

* The future of data and information visualisation, scientific presentations and scholarly publications

* General creativity sessions, Q&A sessions etc...

In addition, participants explored ideas generated during the workshop with the aim of forging new research collaborations while turning the ideas into published articles over time, as was the case with earlier workshops in this series.
